A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ALL RUBBISH,
WEEDS AND RANK GROWTH GROWING OR EXISTING
UPON PUBLIC STREETS AND VACANT LOTS TO BE
A NUISANCE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM:
That there are growing or existing upon various
streets in the City of Anaheim and vacant lots and parcels
of land adjacent to said streets, certain rubbish, weeds
and rank growth, including dead trees, and that said lots
and parcels of land in the City of Anaheim, more particularly
described as Assessor's Parcels 74- 200 -57, 82- 270 -39 and
77- 140 -03, are hereby declared to be a nuisance.
The Superintendent of Streets of the City of Anaheim
is hereby authorized and directed to give notice required by
law to the owners or lessees of said vacant lots, parcels of
land, and streets adjacent thereto to remove said rubbish,
weeds and rank growth as required by law.
Said Superintendent of Streets is hereby authorized
and directed, upon the expiration of a period of ten (10) days
after notice as required by law, to remove any rubbish, weeds
and rank growth which have not been removed from said lots,
parcels of land, or streets, and to charge the cost of such
removal to the lots or parcels cleaned and to the property
adjacent to the streets cleaned by said Superintendent of
Streets.
Upon removal by said Superintendent of Streets of
any of said rubbish, weeds or rank growth, said Superintendent
of Streets shall report to the City Council the location and
description of any property from which he has removed said
rubbish, weeds or rank growth, and unless the cost of such
removal is paid by the owners of said lots and parcels of
land, or the owners of lots and parcels of land adjacent to
said streets, the same shall become a lien upon said property.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is roved and signed by
me this 15th day of October, 1963
