63-0825WHEREAS, in connection with the use and operation of
the Dowling and Anahekth Substations it has become necessary to
make certain alterations and additions thereto, and to employ
engineers to render engineering services in connection therewith;
and.
WHEREAS, Bechtel Corporation is qualified to render all
said required engineering services and desires to be employed for
such purpose; and
WHEREAS, Bechtel Corporation has submitted a proposal
for the engineering aforesaid. dated September 23, 1963, the terms
and conditions of which proposal, including fees, are satisfactory
to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Bechtel Corporation, Engineers and Con-
structors, be, and they are hereby, employed to do the engineer-
ing work necessary for the alterations and additions to the
Dowling and Anaheim Substations on a cost plus fifteen per cent
(15 basis but in no event to exceed the total cost of
$53,000.00 (except in the event that excess work is required), all
as more particularly set forth in the proposal letter of Bechtel
Corporation dated September 23, 1963.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim enter
into a contract for the engineering services of Bechtel Corpora-
tion in substantial conformance with said proposal letter of
September 23, 1963, and that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they
are hereby authorized and directed to execute such contract on
behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 8th day of October, 1963.
