63-0727WHEREAS, Resolution No. 63R -306 did clarify the intent
of Resolutions No. 63R -266 and No. 63R -267 and established the
effective date of the provisions thereof; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with such Resolution No. 63R -306
it was established that billings of the consumers of the Dyke
Water Company which were acquired on the transfer of the Dyke
Water Company facilities to the City of Anaheim would be billed
at the new rates by the City of Anaheim with the first billing
period after the acquisition by the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with the transfer of the facili-
ties to the City of Anaheim, such facilities, by agreement with the
Dyke Water Company, were transferred effective September 1, 1963,
and billing by the City of Anaheim would commence as of September
1, 1963; and
WHEREAS, it is felt by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that a transition period for billing should be allowed to
the consumers previously on the Dyke Water Company System and that
such customers be billed at the old rate for the month of Septem-
ber and that the new rates as established by the City of Anaheim
should be effective as of October 1, 1963.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that. Resolution No. 63R-
306 be and the same is hereby amended to provide that the rates
as established by Resolutions No. 63R -266 and No. 63R -267 shall
become effective and shall apply on October 1, 1963.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in applying the old and
new rates to the metered customers presently served at a different
rate from that set forth in Resolution 63R -266 and Resolution
63R -277, the meters will be read in the regular course and the
two meter rates will be applied on the following basis: Billing
will be prorated to reflect the old rate until October 1, 1963,
and thereafter at rates established by Resolution 63R -266 and
Resolution 63R -267; such prorate will conclusively presume an
equal daily use of water throughout the period covered by the
meter reading.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
