A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING A "NO PARKING" ZONE
ON THE WEST SIDE OF LOS ANGELES STREET IN THE
VICINITY OF PALAIS ROAD.
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways of the State of
California has proposed a crosswalk across the south leg of
Los Angeles Street at Palais Road and has, by letter dated
January 28, 1963, advised the City Engineer that it will be
necessary that parking be prohibited on the west side of Los
Angeles Street beginning at a point in the west curb line
90 feet south of the prolongation of the center line of
Palais Road and extending 175 feet north thereof, to provide
adequate sight distance in conjunction with said crosswalk;
WHEREAS, Section 22506 of the Vehicle Code of the
State of California authorizes the City Council to restrict
or prohibit parking on a state highway, if the resolution
is first submitted to and approved, in writing, by the Depart-
ment of Public Works.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that parking be prohibited at all times
on the west side of Los Angeles Street beginning at a point
in the west curb line 90 feet south of the prolongation of the
center line of Palais Road and extending 175 feet north thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall
go into effect immediately upon approval, in writing, by the
Department of Public Works of the State of California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 19th day of February, 1963.
