A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM EXCLUDING CERTAIN TERRITORY FROM
YORBA LINDA ANNEXATION CONSTITUTING LESS THAN
FIVE PER CENT OF THE TOTAL AREA THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
did on the llth day of December, 1962 receive a written
petition asking that certain new territory described in
said petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim, which said
territory was thereafter designated "YORBA LINDA ANNEXATION
and
WHEREAS, on said date the City Council of the City
of Anaheim did adopt Resolution No. 62R -1069 declaring its
intention to call a special election, and did fix the 15th
day of January,1963, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., as the day, hour
and place when and where any person owning real property
within said territory could appear before the legislative
body of the City of Anaheim and show cause why such territory
should not be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, said City Council did hold and conduct
public hearings on the 15th and 29th days of January, 1963;
and
WHEREAS, certain property owners owning property
within the territory proposed to be annexed have requested
that the following described property be excluded from the
territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim,
to wit:
PARCEL ONE: Lot 15 of the Hazard's Subdivision, as
shown on a Map recorded in Book 2, page 2 of Miscel-
laneous Records of Los Angeles County, California.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Easterly 440.24 feet thereof.
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM any portion thereof lying
within Linda Vista Street on the West.
Estimated to contain approximately 14.43 acres,
more or less.
PARCEL TWO: Lot 18 of the Hazard's Subdivision, as shown
on a Map recorded in Book 2, page 2 of Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, California.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Northerly 205 feet thereof.
Estimated to contain approximately 15.98 acres,
more or less.
PARCEL THREE: That portion of the Northeast quarter
of the Northwest quarter of Section 20, and that
portion of the Southwest quarter of Section 17,
Township 3 South, Range 9 West, in the Rancho San
Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, as shown on a Map recorded
in Book 51, page 7 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the East half of
the Northeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of said
Section 20, also being a point in the South line of
said Section 17; thence North 0 01' East 30 feet,
more or less, to an intersection with a line parallel
with and 30.00 feet Northerly of the South line of
the Southwest quarter of said Section 17; thence
South 89 58' East 812 feet, more cr less, to an inter-
section with the Easterly line of the Rancho San Juan
Cajon de Santa Ana Rancho line; thence South 3 39' East
455 feet, more or less, along the Easterly line of the
said Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana Rancho Line,
to an intersection with a line distant 424.53 feet
Southerly of the North line of said Section 20, said
point of intersection being the Southeast corner of
that parcel of land conveyed as Parcel No. 1 in the
deed to Russell V. Smith, a married man, as his
separate property, recorded April 17, 1962 in Book 6077,
page 351 of Official Records of Orange County,
California; thence North 89 58' West 841 feet, more
or less, along the Southerly line of the land conveyed
to said Russell V. Smith to an intersection with the
West line of the East half of the Northeast quarter
of the Northwest quarter of said Section 20, said
point of intersection being the Southwest corner of
the land conveyed to said Russell V. Smith; thence
North 0 01' East 454 feet, more or less, along the
West line of the East half of the Northeast quarter of
the Northwest quarter of said Section 20, and the
Northerly prolongation thereof to the point of beginning.
Estimated to contain approximately 8.64 acres,
more or less.

PARCEL FOUR: Beginning at the Northeast corner of
Block 2 of the Yorba Linda Tract, as shown on a Map
recorded in Book 5, pages 17 and 18 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence
North 89 18' East 1,288 feet, more or less, follow-
ing along the North line of Block B and the Easterly
prolongation thereof of the Olinda Tract, as shown
on a Map recorded in Book 31, page 37 of Miscellane-
ous Maps, records of Los Angeles County, California,
to the intersection with the center line of Third
(3rd) Street (60 feet wide) as shown on the Map of
said Olinda Tract; thence South 0 32' East 30 feet,
more or less, along the center line of said Third
(3rd) Street (60 feet wide), to the intersection
with the Westerly prolongation of a line that is
parallel with and 30 feet Northerly, as measured
at right angles from the North line of Lots 1 and 8
of Block 56, and Lots 1 and 8 of Block 57 of said
Olinda Tract; thence North 89 28' East 2,640 feet,
more or less, along the last mentioned parallel line
and its said Westerly prolongation and its Easterly
prolongation thereof, to the intersection with the
Northerly prolongation of a line that is 30.00 feet
Easterly (as measured at right angles) and parallel
with the East lines of Lots 8 through 5 of said
Block 57 and Lots 8 through 5 of Block 48 of said
Olinda Tract; thence South 0 32' East 2,640 feet,
more or less, along the last mentioned parallel
line and said Northerly prolongation and the Southerly
prolongation thereof, to an intersection with the
North line of Block 6 of the hereinbefore mentioned
Yorba Linda Tract; thence South 89 28' West 1,350
feet, more or less, along the North line of Block 6
of the said Yorba Linda Tract and the Westerly
prolongation thereof to an intersection with the
Southerly prolongation of the Westerly right of way
line of First Street (60.00 feet wide), thence
North 0 32' West 1,290 feet, more or less, along
the said Southerly prolongation of the West line of
First Street and the Westerly line of said First
Street and the Northerly prolongations thereof to an
intersection with the North line of Block 8 as shown
on a Map of Carlton, recorded in Book 29, pages 7,
8 and 9 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, said point of intersection being in the
Southerly line of Wabash Avenue; thence
South 89 28' West 2,610 feet, more or less, along
the Southerly line of said Wabash Avenue and the
Westerly prolongations thereof to an intersection
with the East line of Block 2 of the hereinbefore
mentioned Yorba Linda Tract; thence North 0 48' East
1,375 feet, more or less, along the East line of
Block 2 of the said Yorba Linda Tract to the point
of beginning.
Estimated to contain approximately 163 acres
of land.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the total
area of the above described property so requested to be ex-
cluded from said annexation is less than five per cent (5
of the total area of the territory originally proposed to be
annexed to the City of Anaheim and that it would be to the
advantage of, and for the benefit of said property owners
and the City of Anaheim to exclude the territory hereinabove
described from said proposed annexation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the territory hereinabove men-
tioned and described be, and the same is hereby, excluded
from the territory designated and described as YORBA LINDA
ANNEXATION, and from all subsequent proceedings in said
matter.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
by me this 5th day of February, 1963.

Anaheim, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council
held on the 5th day of February, 1963, by the following vote
of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Dutton, Chandler, Schutte, Krein and Coon.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said resolution on the 5th day
of February, 1963.
