Purpose:
The purpose of this Regulation is to establish a procedure for the uniform control and use
of City bulletin boards.
The City shall provide at least one bulletin board of reasonable size for each division in
every department.
Procedure:
Space on each bulletin board shall be provided legally required postings for official City
business and agreed upon space covered by Memoranda of Understanding.
The locations of the individual bulletin boards shall be determined by the department
head or division head.
Materials may be posted on bulletin boards by any City employee on a first come, first
served basis, except on the reserved section of the board.
Materials of a political, religious, obscene or derogatory nature shall not be permitted on
bulletin boards.
Responsibility:
It shall be the responsibility of individuals posting and removing materials on bulletin
boards to see that such materials add to rather than detract from the appearance of their
bulletin board.
Material of a commercial nature submitted for distribution to City employees shall be
cleared by the Human Resources Director. The Human Resources Director shall be
responsible for distribution of such material.
