1960-5878RESOLUTION NO. 5878 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DENYING VARIANCE NO. 1201 WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Ana- heim did receive a petition for zoning variance from Foster and Kleiser Company, Lessee of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Lot 8, Resubdivision of Block A of Center Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 3, Page 22 of Miscellaneous Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, State of California. (Said property is located at 118 South Los Angeles Street.) AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on February 15, 19 60 notices of which said public hearing were duly given as required by law and the provisions of Section 9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission, after due inspec- tion, investigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, did adopt Resolution No. 169 Series 19 59 -60 grsntinQ, Variance No. 1201, subject to ceitsin conditinnq stated therein and WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days from the date of the adoption of said resolution, the City Council did elect, upon its own motion, to review the action taken by the City Planning Com- mission in granting said variance and did set a public hearing thereon to be held on the 15th day of March at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and notice of such public hearing was duly given as required by law and the provi- sions of Section 9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council does find that: 1. There is no substantial property right possessed by other property in the same vicinity and zone and denied the subject property. 2. It appears that the subject property can be ade- quately developed and used under the present zone. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commission granting Variance No. 1201 to Foster and Kleiser Company, P. 0. Box 1090, Long Beach, California, to erect one standard 12 -i' x 4 7' illuminated streamlined painted bulletin on the roof of the building situated on the above described property, be and the same is hereby disapproved, and that Variance No. 1201 be, and the same is hereby denied.
