A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 5823,
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CONVENIENCE
AND NECESSITY REQUIRED THE CONSTRUCTION AND
OOMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM, DESIGNATED AS WORK ORDER NO. 1718.
WHEREAS, the City Council did heretofore, on
February 16; 1960, adopt Resolution No. 5823, finding and
determining that public convenience and necessity required
the construction and completion of a public improvement, to
wit:
The construction of a reinforced concrete
underground well vault on Vermont Avenue,
approximately 438 feet East of Olive Street
and 38 feet South of the center line of
Vermont Avenue, in the City of Anaheim,
complete in place, for existing water well,
including all necessary excavation, backfill,
haulaway and appurtenant work, as shown on
the plans, Work Order No. 1718;
and approving the plans and specifications therefor; authoriz-
ing the construction of said public improvement; and authoriz-
the City Clerk to publish a notice inviting sealed proposals
for the construction thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that further investi-
gation should be made with reference to said public improvement
before the notice inviting sealed proposals for the construc-
tion thereof is published and said construction authorized,
and that Resolution No. 5823 should, therefore, be rescinded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 5823, adopted February 16,
1960, finding and determining that public convenience and ne-
cessity required the construction and completion of a public
improvement, to wit: Construction of a reinforced concrete
underground well vault on Vermont Avenue, approximately 438
feet East of Olive Street and 38 feet South of the center line
of Vermont Avenue, in the City of Anaheim, Work Order No. 1718;
and approving the designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifi-
cations for the construction thereof; authorizing the construction
of said public improvement in accordance with said plans, specifi-
cations, etc.; and authorizing and directing the City Clerk to
publish a notice inviting sealed proposals for the construction
thereof, be, and the same is hereby rescinded.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 16th day of February, 1960.
