1960-5807A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT A CHANGE
OF ZONE IS NECESSARY IN CERTAIN AREAS OF THE
CITY, AND THAT ARTICLE IX, CHAPTER 2 OF THE
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE SHOULD BE AMENDED TO
ACCOMPLISH SAID CHANGE OF ZONE.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commi,ssi n of the City of
Anaheim has heretofore; duly pass =.d and adopted a resolution declar-
ing its intention to change the boundaries of the zone or zones
hereinafter mentioned and described and did fix a time and place
for the holding of a public hearing thereon in the manner and as
prescrib =d in Artiol .IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code,.
and did duly hold and conduct such public hearing t> consider said
proposed change of zone or zoo ::D and did receive evidence and
reports from persons inters s +red therein; and
WHEREAS, within a p; °iod of forty (L.0) days following the
final hearing thereoc. the Planning C mmissi*n did duly announce by
formal resolution its findings of facts and declare it opinions
and reasons for renown ;riding an r:mendment t =.aid Article IX
Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to effect the proposed
changes i* the boundaries of the zone hereinaft --r mentioned and
described; and

WHEREAS, upon receipt of th report and recommendation of
the City Planning Commission, th City Council did thereupon fix
the 9th day of W February° 1960 s the time and the
Council Camber in the c y H `1 of th ey of Anaheim as the place
for a public hearing up said proposed change of zone, and did give
notice thereof in the manner nd as propidod in said Article IX,
Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal C de; and
WHEREAS, at the tim and piaoc_ fixed for said public hear-
ing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public hearing
and did give all person intere: t therein an s.pportunity to be
heard and did receive evidence and reports, and did thereupon con-
sider the reconmmendatiors of the City Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that the
property and area proposed to be changed from the zone in which it
is now situated to a different zone, r.s hereinafter set forth, is
more suitable for the zone or zones to which it is proposed to
change said property and area and that the inelusion of said prop=
erty and area in such .rew zone or z nes will increase the value of
said property and ar,;;a and will not d_pr elate the value: of prop-
erty in adjoining zones.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that all of the property and arc -a situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, d- scribed
as followsg to wit
Lot 1 of Block "L" of the Center Tract of Anaheim,
as per map recorded in Book 14, page 13, Miscellaneous
Records, Los Angeles County, California.

be changed from R-6. MULTIPLE- FAI'IILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE to C -1,
NEIGHBORHOOD-COMMERCIAL ZONE g upon the following
conditions:
1. That the owners of subject property place of record
standard City of Anaheim C -1 Deed Restrictions,
approved by the City Attorney, which restrictions
shall limit the uses of the property to Banks,
Business Offices, Medical and Dental Offices,
Pharmacies, ?rofessional Offices, Non Retail Service
Businesses, and any uses, except Restaurants, which
may hereafter be authorized and permitted under
future zoning of the City of Anaheim in the proposed
0-7, Business and Professional Office Zones, and
which restrictions must be approved and recorded in
the office of the County Recorder prior to the
issuance of a business license for any of the above
mentioned uses.
2. That the sidewalks along Broadway and Philadelphia
Streets be repaired and /or replaced as required by
the Director of Public Works and Superintendent of
Streets of the City of Anaheim, and in accordance
with standard specifications of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and submit to the
City Council an amendment to Article IX Chapter 2 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code to amend said Anaheim Municipal Code to accomplish
the object herein found and determined to be necessary and proper.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
