A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ENDORSING SENATE BILL 1106.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
recognizes the water needs of Orange County and of the City
of Anaheim in Orange County; and
WHEREAS, said City Council believes that the pro-
visions of S. B. 1106 are the best obtainable at this time
to meet these needs; and
WHEREAS, said City Council assumes that the water
contracts now being negotiated will result in reasonable and
equitable provisions as to water delivery and water prices for
Orange County and the City of Anaheim, and will be subject to
the principles enunciated by the Governor of this State in
his statement of January 20, 1960;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that it does hereby endorse and support
Senate Dili 1106 and the ballot provisions covering the
S1,750,000,000 bond proposal.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this
resolution be prepared and sent to the Honorable John A. Murdy,
Jr., State Senator, and to the Honorable Bruce Sumner and the
Honorable Richard T. Hanna, State Assemblymen from Orange County.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 2nd day of February, 1960.
