A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE
ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT AMENDING
THAT CERTAIN WRITTEN AGREEMENT HERETOFORE
ENTERED INTO BY THE CITY AND SAID DISTRICT
RELATIVE TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF CULVERTS AND
BRIDGES AS A PART OF THE CARBON CREEK CHANNEL;
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR AND ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the Orange County Flood
Control District did heretofore enter into an agreement relating
to the construction of culverts and bridges as a part of the Carbon
Creek Channel, said agreement having been executed by the City on
September 16, 1958, and by said District on October 7, 1958; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City and said Flood
Control District to amend Paragraph No. 1 and Paragraph No. 5, Sub-
paragraph tt of said agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Flood Control District has
submitted to the City of Anaheim a proposed Amendment to Agreement
to be made and entered into by and between the City and said
District amending the above mentioned paragraphs, which agreement
the City Council finds will provide the required changes in said
paragraphs and should be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the Amendment to Agreement this day submitted
to the City Council by the Orange County Flood Control District,
amending Paragraph No. 1 and Paragraph. No. 5, Subparagraph "b of
that certain agreement executed by the City on September 16, 1956,
and by the Orange County Flood Control District on October 7, 1956,
relating to the construction of culverts and bridges as a part of
the Carbon Creek Channel, which amendments are hereinafter set
forth, be and the same is hereby approved. That said amendments
to Paragraphs No. 1 and No. 5, Subparagraph "b read as follows:
"1. Districtts Flood Control Engineer shall prepare or
cause to be prepared, plans and specification for bridges and
culverts at the following locations and of the following widths
and lengths:
Location Structure Width or Length
Western Avenue bridge 62 -feet in width
Dale Avenue bridge 62 -feet in width
Stinson Street bridge 34-feet in width
Magnolia Avenue bridge 76 -feet in width
Orange Avenue culvert 62 -feet in length
Brookhurst Avenue culvert 46 -feet in length east
of the center line of
Brookhurst Avenue

Said lengths and widths are measured at right angles to the re-
spective street center lines.
Upon completion of said plans and specifications, said
Flood Control Engineer shall submit same to the City Engineer of
City for checking and approval."

"5. subparagraph b.
The total cost of each culvert shall be divided by
its length to arrive at a per foot cost for each
culvert. The per foot cost shall then be multiplied
by 22 for the Orange Avenue culvert and the per foot
cost shall be multiplied by 16 for the Brookhurst
Avenue culvert."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the flayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized to enter into said Amendment to
Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim..
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 26th day of January, 1960.
