RESOLUTION NO. 5736
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM SUPPORTING THE APPLICATION OF CROSS
TOWN SUBURBAN BUS LINES, INC., FOR A CERTIFICATE
OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY FOR A
PASSENGER STAGE SERVICE BETWEEN THE CITIES OF
LOS ANGELES, GARDEN GROVE AND COSTA MESA.
WHEREAS, the Cross Town Suburban Bus Lines, Inc.
has made application to the Public Utilities Commission of
the State of California for a Certificate of Public Con-
venience and Necessity for a passenger stage line service
between the cities of Los Angeles, Garden Grove and Costa
Mesa; and
WHEREAS, said proposed route will pass through
the City of Anaheim on Brookhurst Street and will provide
service along said Brookhurst Street; and
WHEREAS,after consideration by the City Council, it
is deemed that the proposed passenger stage line service
will improve service to the residents of the City of Anaheim;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim does hereby
support the application of the Cross Town Suburban Bus Lines,
Inc., to the Public Utilities Commission of the State of
California for a Certificate of Public Convenience and
Necessity for a passenger stage line service between the
cities of Los Angeles, Garden Grove and Costa Mesa.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 5th day of January, 1960.
