A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED CONVEYING
TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
FOR AN EASEMENT FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC UTILITY
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property for
municipal purposes, to wit: An easement for road and public
utility purposes and
WHEREAS, the owner of said property has offered to
sell and convey the same to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of
Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the offer of C. LOUISE TRUX.a a widow
to sell to the City of Anaheim the following described real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
to be used for an easement for road and public „t, i 1 i t.Y purposes
and more particularly described as follows:
An easement for road and public utility purposes over,
under and across the Easterly 15.00 feet of that parcel
of land being a portion of the land shown as "Dreyfus and
Otters," on a map of Anaheim Extension, as per map of
Survey by I illam Hamel filed in the Office of the County
Recorder of Los Angeles County, California; a copy of
which is filed in Pool,: 3, Pages 163 et sect. entitled Los
Angeles County Eaps, Records of Orange County, California,
described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Westerly line of Los
Angeles Street, 60 feet wide with the Northerly line of
Vermont Avenue, (fore erly known as Broad Street) 66.00 feet
wide as said streets are shown on said map of Anaheim
Extension; thence S 71.;.° 30' West along the Northerly line
of said Vermont Avenue 298.10 feet; thence N 15° /A' West.
299.40 feet; thence N 74 30' East 299.05 feet to the
Viesterly line of Los Angeles Street; thence South 15° 30'
along the Westerly line of said Los Angeles Street to the
point of be inn'ng.
Excepting therefrom, the Southerly 1511.00 feet, of the
Easterly 190.00 feet.
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a conveyance of said
property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor of the City
of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the owners
of said real property, out of General Funds of the City of
Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 28th day of June 1960.
