RESOLUTION NO. 6053
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
RENEWAL OF THE AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE
PERSONNEL BOARD RELATING TO EXAMINATION
FOR JOB CLASSIFICATIONS.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisi ons of Section 18707
of the Government Code, the State Personnel Board is authorized
to enter into an agreement with any city for the exchange of
personnel services or the utilization of services and facilities
of the Board; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did on the 1st day of July,
1959, enter into an agreement with said Personnel Board to ob-
tain the services of said Board in the preparation of examina-
tions for job classifications, construction of examinations for
each job classification, furnishing of sufficient examination
booklets and instructions for administering and scoring exam-
inations, and the rendition of other services outlined in said
contract, which agreement will expire on June 30, 1960; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to renew said agree-
ment and obtain the examining services of the State Personnel
Board for a further period of time; and
WHEREAS, said Board has submitted a new contract to
the City Council entitled "Cost Service Contract, Form A
covering the services to be performed by said Personnel Board
in the planning, scheduling, preparation, construction and
rating of written examinations for job classifications, fees
to be paid, etc., which contract the City Council does find
and determine to be fair and reasonable, and for the advantage
and best interest of the City of Anaheim;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the new Cost Service Contract,
Form A, this day submitted to the City Council, to be made and
entered into by and between the State Personnel Board and the
City of Anaheim for the term of one year, commencing July 1,1960
and ending June 30, 1961, for the rendition of the services
therein described, be, and the same is hereby approved; and
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of
Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 31st day of May, 1960.
