A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM .4IDOP.TING: A .NEW ,.SEAL AND_ SUBSTITUTING
SAID NEW-SEAL-FOR THE OLD SEAL OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
has studied the advisability of •adopting a new official seal
for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, after such study the City Council does
determine that the design heretofore used on the letterheads
of the stationery of the City of Anaheim, said design being
two concentric circles with the wording "City of Anaheim
California, Founded 1857,," with -an irllustration inside the
interior circle depicting the area of Anaheim as.here,in shown,
would be an appropriate seal for the City of Anaheim and
should be officially adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim does hereby adopt as its official seal
the seal in the design hereinabove set forth.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she hereby is instructed to have a
metallic seal prepared which will impress the design of the
official seal of the City of Anaheim: as herein approved for
official documents of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby authorized to continue use of the present seal
of the City until such time as the newly adopted seal has
been prepared for her use.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 24th day of May, 1960.
