OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY OWNED PY THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR
CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY HALBERT I. HICKMAN.
WHEREAS. Holbert I. HicIrman is the owner of the
followinr: described property situated in the City of Anaheim.
County of Orange, State of California, to wit:

the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ann, in the City of

Anaheim, and the exchange of the properties, bereina
described, would eneble the City to use the pronerty more ad-
vantageously; and
WHEREAS, i "ialbert 1 Hickman is willinc to exchange
the above described 2rolperty owned by him for the above
described property owned by the City of Anaheim; and
,Z12REAS, the City Council finds that it would be to
the advantage and for the hest interests of the City of Anaheim
and the citizens and residents thereof exchange said properties
as above set forth;

NO:, THEREFOE, RnE IT iE SOL\TED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the property, hereinabove described,
owned by the City of Anaheim be exchanged for the property,
hereinahove described, owned by Halbert I. Hickman, and that
the Mayor and the; City Clerk. be, and they are hereby, authorized
and directed to execute, a deed conveying said property owned by
the City of Anaheim to Halbert 1. H1clman, and to deliver said
deed into escrow at the Home Savings and Loan Association,
211 East Center Street, Anaheim, California, to be delivered
when a good and sufficient deed has been executed conveying to
the City of .nnaheir:; t:le property, hereinabove described, and
delivered into escrow at Home Savings and Loan Association, and
when title to said property can be conveyed to the City of
Anaheim, free and clear of all encumbrances except covenants,
conditions, and restrictions of record, as approved by the City
Attorney, and subject to General and Special Taxes for the fiscal
year 1960-61.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that neither party shall furnish
title insurance in connection with this exchange, and that each
party to said exchange shall pay the usual and customary Sellerts
and D, uyer f s escrow charges in such exchange of property.
22 IT FU;THER :RESOLVED that the City :-Tanager he, and
he is hereby, authorized and directed to sign escrow instructions
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim at the Home Savings
and Loan Association in accordance with the provisions of this
resolution.
