A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM CHANGING THE NAME OF.TEE CITY PARK
TO THE CNAttfES A. PEARSON PARK.
WHEREAS, Charles L. Pearson has served the City for
twenty -five years as a member of the City Council and as its
Mayor, with great credit to himself and distinction to the City
of Anaheim; and
:v- ERE.kS, the City Council does find and determine that
something should be done that will constitute a permanent recog-
nition of the invaluable service rendered to the City of Anaheim
by Charles A. Pearson; and
WhEREAS, the City Council does find that an appropriate
method of recognizing said service and expressing the gratitude
of the City Council and the people and residents of the City of
Anaheim to Charles Pearson will be achieved by naming the City
Park in his honor.
NOW, 2HEREFW E, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the public Park located between .Lemon
street on the East and Palm Street on the West, Cypress Street
on the South and Sycamore Street on the North, within the City
of Anaheim, known as the Anaheim City Park, be, and the same is
hereby, renamed The Charles A. Pearson Park, and shall hence-
forth be known and designated by that name, in grateful recogni-
tion of the distinmished service rendered to the City of Anaheim
by the said Charles A. Pearson.
ThE FOREGOING REiOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 21S day of April, 1960.

certify that the foregoing resolution was passed acid adopted at an
adjourned regular meeting of the City Council held on the 21st day of
April, 1960, by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Chandler, Coons, Fry, Thompson and Schutte.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim
approved and signed said resolution on the 21st day of April, 1960.
