1960-5949WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did cause to be published in a newspaper of general circulation printed, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, to wit: The Anaheim Gazette on November, 2 and De e..nber 19 a notice nviting sealed proposals for furnishing th e following: RESOLUTION NO. 5949 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FINALLY ACCEPTING THE COMPLETION AND THE FURNISHING OF ALL PLANT, LABOR, SERVICES, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT AND ALL UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION INCLUDING POWER, FUEL AND WATER, AND PERFORMING ALL WORK NECESSARY TO CONSTRUCT AND COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT, FURNISHING AND INSTALLING ONE ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN. DEEP WELL. SUIJN.ERSIBLE TYPE PU PING .UNIT, INCLUDING CONCRETE BASE, IN WELL NO. 17, IN THE PLANTER ISLAND AT SUNKIST STREET AND UNDERILL AVENUE. IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. WORK ORDER NO. 1717. All plant, labor, services, materials and equipment (except as otherwise set forth in the specifications), and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water, and performing all work ne- cessary to furnish and install in a good and work- manlike manner, in strict accordance with the specifications, plans and drawings therefor on file in the office of the City Engineer or City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, one electrically driven, deep well, submersible type pumping unit, including concrete base, in Well No. 17, in the Planter Island at Sunkist Street and Underhill Avenue, in the City of Anaheim, Work Order No. 1717„ in accordance with the designs, plans, profiles and specifica- tions prepared by Thornton E. Piersall City Engineer and the notice inviting sealed proposal's, which said notice specified that sealed proposals as specified in said notice would be received up until 2 :00 o °clock P.M. of the th day of December fl 5 9 a and which said no ce id state and declare that pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the City Council of the City of Anaheim had ascertained the prevailing rate of wages for each type of labor needed to execute said contract and did set forth the prevailing hourly wage scale so ascertained; and WHEREAS, on December 10 �9 at the hour 2:00 oflclock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer of AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said Cif_ En ineer and hereby approved, and such addenda or mod fications thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding of bids therefor. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to pub- lish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel. and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as- prepared by said Cit En ineer the public improvement hereinabove ment oned and described, and fixing the th day of 19 60 at the hour of 2 :00 o c ock P.M. as the date and hour or the opening of said bids at the City Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that_ said notic shall be published twice, the first of which publications shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the open ing of bids, and that said publications shall be at least five (5) days apart. ATTEST: AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction, installation and completion of said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by said Cit__En• ineer the notice inviting sealed proposals, this resocaton and a 1 app cable City Ordinances or Code Sections and the laws of the State of California, and shall be required to post bonds and Insurance in the amounts and within the time required by' law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in a form approved by the City Attorney.
