1960-5947RESOLUTION NO. 5947 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ASCERTAINING AND DETERMINING THE PREVAILING RATE OF WAGES TO BE PAID FOR EACH CRAFT, OR TYPE OF WORKMAN, OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTS FOR THE FURNISHING OF ALL MATERIALS, PLANT, LABOR AND SERVICES FOR FURNISHING AND INSTALLING ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN, DEEP WELL, TURBINE TYPE PUMPING UNITS, INCLUDING CONCRETE BASES, IN WATER WELLS IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find and determine that public convenience and necessity re- quire the acquisition of .materials, plant, labor and services for public improvements consisting of the furnishing and in- stallaticn of electrically driven, deep well, turbine type pumping units, including concrete bases, in water wells in the City of Anaheim, California; and WHEREAS, Section 1770 of the Labor Code of the State of California requires that the City Council ascertain and determine the general prevailing rate of hourly wages and rates for legal holidays and overtime work on public works and improvements in the locality in which the work is to be performed, for each craft or type of workman, laborer or mechanic needed for the execution of such public contracts and the making of such public improvements, and for the furnishing of all plant, labor, ser- vices, materials and equipment and performing all work necessary for the execution and completion of said public contracts or improvements; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that, in accordance with the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code of the State of California, the City Council has ascertained and does hereby determine the general prevailing rate of hourly wages and rates for legal holidays and overtime work on public works and public improve- ments consisting of the furnishing and installation of electri- cally driven, deep well, turbine type pumping units, including concrete bases, in water wells in the City of Anaheim, in the locality in which such work is to be performed and each craft or type of laborer, workman or mechanic needed for the execu- tion of public works contracts or contracts for the furnishing of all plant, materials, labor, services and equipment for public improvements consisting of the furnishing and installa- tion of electrically driven, deep well, turbine type pumping units, including concrete bases, in water wells in the City of Anaheim, and that said prevailing rates so determined are as follows: CLASSIFICATION HOURLY RATE Industrial Pipe Fitting: Pipefitter Journeyman Pipefitter Foreman 10% above gross Journeyman rate Pipefitter General Foreman 20% above gross Journeyman rate Operating Engineers: A -Frame Boom Truck A ®Frame or Winch Truck Operator Universal Equipment Operator (Shovel, Back Hoe, Dragline, Derrick, Derrick Barge, Clamshell, Crane or Pile Driver) Driver of Trucks: Legal Payload capacity less than 6 tons Legal Payload capacity 6 to 10 tons Legal Payload capacity 10 to 15 tons Tractor Operator m Bulldozer, Tamper, Scraper, Dragtype Shovel or Similar Type Tractor Operator o Boom Attachments Laborers: General or Construction Carpenters Electricians: General Foreman Foreman Wireman Cement Mason Cement Mason (Composition or Mastic) Cement Floating and Finishing Machine Operator Health and Welfare payments shall be made in accordance with the Southern California Master Labor Agreement.
