A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM GRANTING SPECIAL USE PERMIT NO. 67
TO CORPORATION OF THE PRESIDING BISHOP OF THE
CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS TO
ERECT A CHURCH ON THE PROPERTY HEREINAFTER
DESCRIBFT).
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive an application from the Corporation of the
Presiding Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints, a Utah Corporation Sole, 125 South West Street,
Anaheim, California, for a Special Use Permit to erect a
church on the following described property situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to
wit:
The North 3 acres of Lot 8 of Anaheim Homestead
Tract as recorded in Book 26, Page 10 of Mis-
cellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon
said application on March 7, 1960, notices of which said public
hearing were duly given as required by law and the provisions
of Section 9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, in-
vestigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and
after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered
at said hearing, did adopt its Resolution No. 190 Series
1959 -60, denying said Special Use Permit; and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days from the
date of the adoption of said resolution, a written appeal was
filed with the City Council of the City of Anaheim protesting
the action of the City Planning Commission in denying said
Special Use Permit, and said appeal was set for public hearing
on March 29, 1960 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the
City of Anaheim, and notice of such public hearing was duly
given as required by law and the provisions of Section 9200.17 of
the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hear-
ing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did receive evidence and reports, and did con-
tinue said hearing to April 12, 1960; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds, after careful con-
sideration of the recommendations of the City Planning Com-
mission and all evidence and reports offered at said hearings,
that said Special Use Permit should be granted upon the terms
and conditions hereinafter set forth.
NOS), THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Com-
mission denying Special Use Permit No. 67 be, and the same is
hereby disapproved, and that Special Use Permit No. 67 be, and
the same is hereby granted to the CORPORATION OF THE PRESIDING

BISHOP OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS,
a Utah Corporation Sole, 125 South West Street, Anaheim,
California, tc erect a church on the property hereinabove
described, upon the following conditions:
1. That a 6 -foot wall shall be constructed along
the easterly property line, said wall to be
stepped down along the 25 -foot setback area.
2. That dense planting be provided and .maintained
around the easterly boundary of the property,
as designed by the Parks and Recreation De-
partment and approved by the City Council, to
obscure the parking lot.
3. That sidewalks shall be installed on Loara
Street and sidewalks, curbs and gutters on
Westmont Drive, as required by the City
Engineer, and in accordance with standard
plans and specifications on file in the
Office of the City Engineer.
L That the parking lot lights shall be a
sufficient distance below the 6 -foot wall,
so that the lights will not shine in neighbor-
ing back yards.
5. That the building to be erected on said pro-
perty shall be constructed in accordance with
the plans this day presented to the City
Council and on file with the City of Anaheim.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke
such Special Use Permit for good cause or failure of said owner,
its successors or as to comply with the Anaheim Municipal
Code and regulations and the conditions herein.
THE FOREGOINO RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 12th day of April, 1960.

Anaheim, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
passed and adopted at a regular .meeting of the City Council
held on the 12th day of April, 1960, by the following vote
of the members thereof:
AYES: W NCILMEN: Fry, Pearson, Thompson and
Schutte.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: Coons.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said resolution on the 12th day
of April, 1960.
