A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM URGING THE ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING
COMMISSION TO DENY APPLICA1DN NO. 4508 FOR A
USE VARIANCE ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT BROOKHURST
STREET AND GUINIDA LANE.
WHEREAS, the City Council is informed that William
Lyon has made an application to the Orange County Planning
Commission for Variance No. 4508 to use the real property and
premises therein described, located at Brookhurst Street and
Guinida Lane, for the following purpose, to wit: construction
of an office building in an R -1, Residential Zone; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that the author-
ization of such use would constitute an intrusion of commercial
uses into a planned residential area, and would establish a
precedent for applications for similar uses in the future;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Orange County Planning Commission
be, and it is hereby, urged to deny the application of William
Lyon for Land Use Permit No. 4508 upon the ground that it would
result in an intrusion of commercial uses into a planned resi-
dential area, and would establish a precedent for similar appli-
cations in the future.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 8th day of April, 1960.
