1960-6320RESOLUTION NO. 6320 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF ACENOWLEDGING THE PC- QUIS1TION OF ORANGE COUNTY WATER WORKS DISTRICT NO. 7. WHEREAS, the Broadway-La Palma Annexation did encorpass the entire area of Orange County Water Works District No. 7; and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim does own a water works for supplying its inhabitants with water; and WHEREAS„ Section 5593o of the Water Code of the State of California specifies that whenever all of the territory in a district is annexed to, or otherwise included within, any municipal corpora- tion owning works for supplying inhabitants with 1,atEr, then the district shall be deemed dissolved; and in accordance with such section, Orange County Water Vor' District No. 7 was dissolved upon coppleticn of said Proadway-La Palna Annexation, and in accordance with Section 5H1 of the said Water Code of the State rf C1 iforna a Froperty of the Water District wr,uld hecore a part of the water works owned by the City of Anch(ir to be used in conneOion with such wors; and WIIIREAS, the Broadway-La Pair. a Annexation did hope final and its areas a part of the City on September the date of filinfi the c1(-1 certificate with the Secretary of State; and IfErjEAS, certain funds and roney were on deposit for said later Wors District No. 7 witb the County of Once, and ',:i certain hon_ds wPre .7) itndino for Orange County Vater 14orl-,s District No. 7 which bonds were pay abi c at the Office of t,.e Treasurer of Oranoe County, California; and •E certain financial transactions did occur in connection with Orange County Water Works District No. 7 between September 2, 1960, and the date af receipt of the certificate of the Secretary of State on or about September 6, 1960; and 1 :,HEREPS, it is to the advantage of the City of Anaheim and the County of Orange, to set forth by forpal action the consequence of the Broadway-La Pal( a Annexation as it affects Orange County Water WOTS District No. 7, and to establish procedures for taking care of the outstandinc obligation of Water WorRs District No. 7; THEREFCRE, BE IT RLSOLVEI) by the City Council of the City of Anahein as follows: 1.
