RESOLUTION NO. 6317
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED CONVEYING
TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim did heretofore enter into
an escrow with SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY and NORTHWESTERN PACIFIC
RAILROAD COMPANY at California Bank, Anaheim Office, Anaheim,
California, for the purchase of the hereinafter described real
property for municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS, said California Bank is now ready to close
said escrow, and a deed has been prepared conveying said prop-
erty to the City of Anaheim free and clear of all encumbrances
except all taxes for the fiscal year 1960 -61, and all covenants,
conditions, restrictions, reservations, rights, rights -of -way
and easements of record, as approved by the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the deed conveying the following
described property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, to wit:
The Easterly 490.00 feet of the Northeast quarter
of the Northeast quarter of the Southwest quarter
of Section 23, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, as
shown on a map recorded in Book 51, page 10
of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California.
Except that portion lying Southerly of a line
that is parallel with and distant 295.00 feet
Northwesterly, measured at right angles, from
the center line of that certain 50.00 foot
wide right of way conveyed to the Southerr.
Pacific Railroad Company by deed recorded in
Book 570, page 288 of Deeds, records of
Los Angeles County, California.

Except that portion lying Southerly of a line
that is parallel with and distant 295.00 feet
Northwesterly, measured at right angles, from
the center line of that certain 50.00 foot wide
right of way conveyed to the Southern Pacific
Railroad Company by deed recorded in Book 570,
page 288 of Deeds, records of Los Angeles,
County, California.

and exclusive right to all of the minerals and
mineral ores of every kind and character now
known to exist or hereafter discovered upon,
within or underlying sad land or that may be
produced therefrom, including, without limiting
the generality of the foregoing, all petroleum,
oil, natural gas and other hydrocarbon substances
and products derived therefrom, together with
the exclusive and L rpetual right of said Grantors,
their successors and assigns, of ingress and
egress beneath the surface of said land to
explore for, extract, nine and remove the same,
and to make such use of the said land beneath
th surface as is necessary or useful in connection
therewith, which use may include lateral or
slant drilling, boring, digging or sining of
wells, shafts or tunnels; 'rovided, however,
