A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
CF ANAHEIL GRANTING SPECIAL USE PEBLIT NO. al
TO LAWRENCE A. iUaEN THALER TO ESTABLISH A.
POST OFFICE ON PROPERTY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive an application from Lawrence A. Luckenthaler,
1530 Avolencia Drive, Fullerton, California, for a Special Use
Pemit to establish a post office on the following described
property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, to wit:
Those portions of the Southwest quarter of the North-
west quarter of Section 9, Township L South, Range 10
West, in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, as
shown on a map thereof recorded in book 51, at page
10, of Liscellaneous Laps, records of Orange County,
California, described as follows:
PARCEL 1.
The Northerly 230.00 feet of that portion of the South
half of the Southliest quarter of the Northwest quarter
of said Section 9, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the South half of
the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of said
Section 9; thence West along the South line of said
South half to the Southeast corner of that certain par-
cel of land conveyed to H. LeRoy Hall and wife _by deed
recorded Larch 13th, 1930, in book 360, page 335 of Of-
ficial Records; thence North along the East line of said
land conveyed to Hall and along the East line of Parcel
1 as described in deed to Floyd L. Hatfield and wife,
recorded April 25th, 1935, in book 745, page 446, of Of-
ficial Records to the North line of the South half of
the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of said
Section 9; thence East along the North line of said
South half to the Northeast corner of said South half;
thence South along the East line of saie South half to
the point of beeinning.
PARCEL L.
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the East 217.6 feet
of the North half of said Southwest quarter of the North-
west quarter, and running thence North, along the West
line of said East 217.8 feet, to the Southeasterly line
of the strip of land, 65.00 feet in width, described in
the deed to Orange County Flood Control District recorded
August 27, 1958, in hook 3877, at pare L35, of Official
Records of said Orange County; thence Southwesterly, along
said Southeasterly line, to the South line of said North
half; thence East, along said South line, to the point
of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold
a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon
said application on August 15, 1960, notice of which said public
hearing was duly given as required by law and the provisions

of Title 15, Chapter 13.76 of the Anaheim municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, in-
vestigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and
after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered
at said hearing, did adopt its Resolution No. 52, Series
1960 -61, granting Special Use Permit No. 61, subject to cer-
tain conditions set forth therein; and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days frail, the
date of the adoption of said resolution, the City Council did
elect, upon its own motion, to review the action of the City
Planning Commission in granting said Special Use Permit and did
thereupon fix the 13th day of September, 1960 as the time and
the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim
as the place for a public hearing upon said Special Use Permit,
and notice of such public hearing was duly given as required by
law and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Ana-
heim !'Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hearing
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to
be heard and did receive evidence and reports; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds, after careful con-
sideration of the recommendations of the City Planning Commis-
sion and all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, that
said Special Use Permit should be granted upon the terms and con-
ditions hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
tha City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commis-
sion granting Special Use Permit No. 81 be, and the same is
hereby sustained, and that Special Use Permit No. 81 be, and
the same is nereLy granted to Lawrence A.I1uckenthalcr, 1530
Avolencia Drive, Fullerton, California, to establish a post of-
fice on the property herein.above described, upon the following
conditions:
1. That an area 15 feet in width along the front property
line, with the exception of the access drives and
wal? <.s, be landscaped and said landscaping maintained.
2. That a 6 -foot block wall be constructed around the
parking area for Federal vehicles.
3. That said property be developed substantially in ac-
cordance with the plans presented to the City Council
and on file with the City of Anaheir+,.
That a strip of land 32 feet in width, from the center
line of the street, along Loara Street, be deeded to
the City of Anaheim for street widening purposes.
That sidewalks be installed as required by the City
Engineer and in accordance with standard plans and
specifications on file in the Office of the City En-
gineer, and that a bond in an amount and fora. satis-
factory to the City of Anaheirp, be posted with the
City to guarantee the installation of said sidewa

6. That the costs heretofore incurred by the City
and chard d against said property for the instal-
lation of curbs, gutters and sidewalks be paid.
7. That the sum of $2.00 per front foot be paid to
the City for street ligbtinc purposes.
3E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Special Use Pern.i.t
shall beco:T.e effective upon the 7n,endm_ent of Title 16, Chapter
13.64, Section 10.64.010 of the Anaheim Municipal Code t.r) in-
clude post. offices.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to revcJ:e
such Special Use Perrit for good cause or failure of said
owner, his heirs, successors or assigns to comply with the
Anaheii. Municipal Code and regulations and the conditions herein.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
roe this 13th day of September, 1960.
