A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIU: APPROPRIATING $500.00 TO
BE USED IN PROEOTION OF THE "CALIFORNIA
IPJATER PLAT AND THE RPINGING OF WATER
INTO ORANGE COUNTY; AND DESIGNATING THE
A1AHi ll CHAIBER OF ODI AS THE AGENT
OF THE CITY OF ANAdiEIN. TO PERFOP SERVICES
IN CONNECTION THEREWITH.

Finance
lal the Anabein Chamber of Col,merce, located within
the City of Anaheim, has special experience and facil-
ities for promotion and advertisin wcr and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that with the rapid
orowtb and expansion of the City and the surrounding area, the de-
nand for water vill he greatly increased and that it will he nec-
essary for the City to obtain additional sources of water; and
1.:HEREAS, the City Council finds that. the "California
'Hater Plen and Feather River Project" is a feasihle plan and one
desined to provide additional lAater to Southern California and
the City of Anabein and other cities in the County of Orane; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be to the
adventace and for the best interest and welfare of the City of
Anaheim, and citizens thereof, to appropriate funds for the pro-
otion and advertising f the "Californi Wat.er Plan and Feather
River Project" for the purpose al' induelno the development thereof
and the furnishincl of an additional source of water to the City
of Anabeim in the near frture when it will be creatiy needed;
NOW THER PE IT RESOLVFE by the City Council of
the City of Anahein that there be, and there is bereby apprrpr:aten
and set aside the sum of $1,00.00 for the followi% purposes:
1. Tc obtain reports, statistical data upcn engineer-
Inc desicn, construction and operation of the
various projects proposed under the "Cal i forn ia
Later Plan," and in particular the initial unit
of said plan, and desionated as tIe "Feather
River Project."
2. To obtain an exchange of data betveen the City of
Anabeim and otter public anencies in regard to
the "Californa I:atcr Plan" and said "Feather
River Project" for the purpose of pr7,mc:tinc end
advertisino the same.
3, To obtain advice on pending or proposed leois-
lation in furtherance of, or which affects the
"California Water Plan and Feather River Project"
to the end that. the City of Anaheim nay have an
opportunity for conference witb other public
aoencies, and an ,pportunity for (=Iron action in
n_atters affectinc the City or to create
precedents affectino it.
L. To obtain for the City periodic bulletins and
reports on the foregoing matters issued by the
"Feather River Project Association" or any
other organization interested in the promotion
of said project.
To provide for cooperation of other cities of
Orange County and organizations and the"Feather
River Project Association" in the promotion of
said"Califorria 1 Plan."
AND PE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED that the Anaheim Chamber
of Commerce be, and it is hereby employed to perform the above
services for and on behalf cf the City of Anahein and to expend
said funds hereby appropriatEd.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funds hereby ap-
propriated and set aside shall be paid cut upon demand by said
ChaLber of Commerce showing the amount of liability incurred,
and said demands shall be submitted monthly to the City Council.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the I and the City
Clerk be, and they are bereby authorized and directed to enter
into a written contract with the Chamber of Commerce to carry
out the terms and provisions herein.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 3Oth day of August, 1960.
