A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT A CHANGE
OF ZONE IS NECESSARY IN CERTAIN AREAS OF THE
CITY, AND THAT ARTICLE IX, CHAPTER 2 OF THE
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE SHOULD BE AMENDED TO
ACCOMPLISH SAID CHANGE OF ZONE,
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim has heretofore duly passed and adopted a resolution declar-
ing its intention to change the boundaries of the zone or zones
hereinafter mentioned and described and did fix a time and place
for the holding of a public hearing thereon in the manner and as
prescribed in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code,
and did duly hold and conduct such public hearing to consider said
proposed change of zone or.zonee, and did receive evidence and
reports from persons interested therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days following the
final hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announce by
formal resolution its findings of facts and deolare its opinions
and reasons for recommending an amendme t to said Article IX,
Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to effect the proposed
changes in the boundaries of the zone hereinafter mentioned and
described; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation of
the City Planning Commission, the City Council did thereupon fix
the 2nd day of Au ust 1960 as the time and the
Count Chamber in the ity a of thTty of Anaheim as the place
for a public hearing upon said proposed change of zone, and did give
notice thereof in the manner and as provided in said Article. IX,
Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public hear-
ing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public hearing
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be
heard and did receive evidence and reports, and did thereupon con-
sider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that the
property and area proposed to be changed from the zone in which it
is now situated to a different zone, as hereinafter set forth, is
more suitable for the zone or zones to which it is proposed to
change said property and area and that the inclusion of said prop
erty and area in such new zone or zones will increase the value of
said property and area and will not depreciate the values of prop-
erty in adjoining zones,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described
as follows: to wit:

That portion of the Northeast quarter of the
Northwest quarter of Section 26, in Township 4
South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho San Juan
Cajon de Santa Ana, in the City of Anaheim, as
shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 51, Page
10, Miscellaneous Naps, records of said Orange
County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the Southwesterly line of
the land conveyed to the State of California filed
April 9, 1952, as document No. 25258, in the office
of the Registrar of Titles of said Orange County,
distant thereon North 40° 501 15" West, 393.85
feet from its intersection with the Southerly line
of the Northeast quarter of said Northwest quarter,
and running thence North 40° 501 15" West along
said Southwesterly line, 250.00 feet; thence South
49° 091 45" West to the Westerly line of the North-
east quarter of said Northwest quarter; thence
Southerly along said Westerly line to the Southwest
corner thereof; thence North 89° 51' 35" East along
the Southerly line of the Northeast quarter of said
Northwest quarter 133.56 feet to the Southwest corner
of the land described in the deed to John J. Hershiser,
et al., by deed recorded December 15, 1958, in Book
4515, Page 290, Official Records, in the office of
the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence
North 49° 091 45" East along the Northwesterly line
of said land described in the deed to Hershiser,
457.95 feet to the point of beginning.
be changed from R -A, RESIDENTIAL AGRICULTURAL ZONE to M -1,
LIGHT MANUFACTURING ZONE, upon the following conditions:
1. That the minimum bui idin1g setback line be the
same as the setback line for the Culligan
Building.
2. (a) That all engineering requirements of the
City of Anaheim, such as curbs and gutters,
sidewalks, street grading and paving, drainage
facilities, which shall include any necessary
drainage structures, or other appurtenant work
be complied with as required by the City
Engineer, and in accordance with standard plans
and specifications on file in the office of the
City Engineer; and (b) that a bond in an amount
and form satisfactory to the City of Anaheim be
posted with the City to guarantee the installa-
tion of said engineering requirements.
3. That the owner of subject property pay to the
City of Anaheim the sum of $2.00 per front foot
for street lighting purposes.
4. That Conditions Nos. 2(b) and 3 above mentioned
be complied with within a period of 90 days from
date hereof, or such further time as the City
Council may grant.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be,
and he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and
submit to the City Council an amendment to Article IX,
Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to amend said.
Anaheim Municipal Code to accomplish the object herein
found and determined to be necessary and proper.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 2nd day of August, 1960.

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said resolution on the 2nd day of
August, 1960.
