A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 'CITY OF
ANAHEIM RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 6235 APPROVING
AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR THE JOINT
CONSTRUCTION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL SYSTEMS
AND HIGHVAY LIGHTING AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF
KNOTT AVENUE AND 'WESTERN AVENUE WITH STATE
I IIGHWAY ROUTE VII —ORA- 178 —ANA, BPK (LINCOLN AVENUE)
WHEREAS, the City Council did on August 23, 1960, adopt
Resolution No. 62 ;5 approving and authorizing the execution of an agreement
with the State of California, Department of Public Works, Division of Highways,
providing for the joint construction and installation of traffic control
signal systems and highway lighting at the intersections of Knott Avenue and
Western Avenue with State highway Route JII-- Ora -178 —Ana, BPk (Lincoln Avenue),
and for the payment of the City's share of the costs of the construction
of said signal systems and highway lighting, as well as its share of the
cost of general maintenance and operation of said signal systems and highway
lighting; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that after the adoption of said
resolution it was found to be in the best interest of the City to use gas
tax funds for the financing of said project and that Resolution No. 6235
should, therefore, be rescinded; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that said agreement
hereinabove referred to has not been made and entered into by and between
the City and the State of California, Department of Public Works, Division
of Highways;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim that Resolution No. 6235, adopted by the City Council on
August 23, 1960, approving and authorizing the execution of an agreement
to be made and entered into by and between the City of Anaheim and the
State of California, Department of l ublic Works, Division of Highways, for
the joint construction and installation of traffic control signal systems
and highway lighting at the intersections of Knott Avenue and Western
Avenue with State Iighway Route VII —Ora- 178 —Ana, BPk (Lincoln Avenue)
be, and the same is hereby rescinded.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this
29th day of November, 1960.
