1960-6439RESOLUTION NO. 6439 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM GRANTING SPECIAL USE PERMIT NO. 82 TO VICTOR EDMUND GROVER TO OPERATE A PRIVATE SOCIAL CLUB ON THE PROPERTY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED. WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive an application from Victor Edmund Grover, 10332 Newport Avenue, Santa Ana, California, for a Special Use Permit to operate a private social club on the following de- scribed property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to wit: The South half of the East half of the Northeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 14, Township 4 South, Range 11 West, S. B. B. M. EXCEPTING THEREFROM the South 483 feet. ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the East 200 feet of the North 89.16 feet of the South 572.16 feet. AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said application on September 19, 1960, notice of which said public hearing was duly given as required by law and the pro- visions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, in- vestigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, did adopt its Resolution No. 75 SERIES 1960 -61, granting Special Use Permit No. 82, subject to certain condi- tions set forth therein; and WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days from the date of the adoption of said resolution, the City Council did elect, upon its own motion, to review the action of the City Planning Commission in granting said Special Use Permit and did thereupon fix the 18th day of October, 1960, as the time and the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Ana- heim as the place for a public hearing upon said Special Use Permit, and notice of such public hearing was duly given as re- quired by law and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hear- ing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be heard and did receive evidence and reports, and did there- upon close said hearing and defer action on said Special Use Permit until November 1960; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds, after careful con- sideration of the recommendations of the City Planning Commis- sion and all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, that said Special Use Permit should be granted upon the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth; -1- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commission granting Special Use Permit No. 82 be, and the same is hereby sustained, and that Special Use Permit No. 82 be, and the same is hereby granted to Victor Edmund Grover, 10332 Newport Avenue, Santa Ana, California, to operate a private social club on the property hereinabove described, subject to the following conditions: 1. That the owner of subject property deed to the City of Anaheim a strip of land 45 feet in width from the center line of the street, along Western Avenue, for street widening purposes. 2. (a) That all engineering requirements of the City of Anaheim, such as curbs and gutters, sidewalks, street grading and paving, drain- age facilities, or other appurtenant work be complied with as required by the City Engineer and in accordance with standard plans and spec- ifications on file in the Office of the City Engineer; and (b) that a bond in an amount and form satisfactory to the City of Anaheim be posted with the City to guarantee the instal- lation of said engineering requirements. 3. That the owner of subject property pay to the City of Anaheim the sum of $2.00 per front foot for street lighting purposes. 4. That adequate off street parking be provided on subject property; and that no on- street parking be permitted. That subject property be enclosed within a mason- ry wall if and when abutting properties are developed for residential purposes. 6. That subject property shall be developed in ac- cordance with the plan of development presented to the City Council and on file with the City of Anaheim; but that it is specifically under- stood that only that portion of the plan of development which pertains to the property here inabove described is considered in this Special Use Permit. The City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke such Special Use Permit for good cause or failure of said owner, his heirs, successors or assigns to comply with the Anaheim Municipal Code and regulations and the conditions herein.
