RESOLUTION NO. 62R -•21
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING
AREA ON LINCOLN AVENUE IN FRONT OF 2123
WEST LINCOLN AVENUE.
WHEREAS, a request has been made by the owner of the
Ana -Lin Motel, 2123 West Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim, California,
to prohibit parking in front of said motel and for a distance
of 50 feet west of the westernmost driveway to thp motel; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways of the State of
California has, by letter dated December 6, 1961, advised the
City Engineer that the results of its investigation indicate
that it would be desirable to prohibit parking on the north
side of Lincoln Avenue between the driveways of the Ana -Lin
Motel; and
WHEREAS, Section 22506 of the Vehicle Code of the
State of California authorizes the City Council to restrict,
or prohibit, parking on a state highway if the resolution is
first submitted to and approved, in writing, by the Department
of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways has requested
that the prohibition of parking shall be inoperative six
months after withdrawal of the approval of the Department
of Public Works;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that parking be prohibited on the north
side of Lincoln Avenue between the driveways at 2123 West
Lincoln Avenue and for a distance of 50 feet west of the
westernmost driveway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution will go
into immediate effect upon approval, in writing, by the De-
partment of Public Works of the State of California, and that
said prohibition of parking and this resolution shall cease
to be effective six months after receipt by the City Council
of written notice of withdrawal of approval of the Department
of Public Works of the State of California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 2nd day of January, 1962.
