1962-0336RESOLUTION NO. 62R -336 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING THAT THE REQUESTED EXPANSION OF ORANGE 03UNTY.USE VARIANCE NO. 14939 IS COMPATIBLE TO THE M -1 ZONE ESTAB- LISHED AND DECLARING THAT NO ADDITIONAL. DEVELOPMENT SHOULD BE PERMITTED IN.THE AREA. WHEREAS, Orange County Use Variance No. 14939, requesting expansion of a trailer park, heretofore granted under Orange County Use Variance No. 4477, came before the City Council for consideration and recommendation; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has determined that certain property lying northerly and easterly of the Riverside Freeway, southerly of Placentia Yorba Boulevard, and westerly of Jefferson Street, more particularly designated as Anaheim's Reclassification No. 61- 62 -69, be classified as M -1 (Light Manufacturing) Zone and P -L (Parking Landscaping) Zone and intends to limit residential use in said area; and WHEREAS, although said Orange County Use Variance No. 14939 would, if granted, constitute an expansion of residential use, such expansion of an existing residential use, if limited to the variance in question, would not be incompatible with the aforementioned reclassification to M -1 and P -L zoning; and Planning WHEREAS, the said City Council desires to reaffirm to the Orange County Planning Commission its intention and desire to limit the aforementioned area to M -1 uses and to prohibit the further expansion of residential uses into said industrial area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the City indicate and it does hereby indicate and express its desire to the Orange County Planning Commission that the Northeast Area of Anaheim as indicated in this resolution and such other land in the area which may become a part of the City of Anaheim, should be held for M -1 use, and wherever possible, that no future ex- pansion of residential use into the industrial area be permitted; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council has no objections to the expansion of the one trailer park in- volved in Orange County Use Variance No. 4939 because of the hardship factors involved in the squaring off of the property; but BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim is unalterably and actively opposed to any future expansion or development of any residential -type units in the aforesaid area of Northeast Anaheim.
