1962-0331WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
an agreement prepared by Metropolitan Water District of Southern
California covering the construction,maintenance, and operation
of the proposed reservoir near the East Orange County Feeder
No. 2 in which Metropolitan Water District of Southern California,
Orange County Municipal Water District, and Coastal Municipal
Water District are parties; and
WHEREAS, the Cities of Santa Ana and Anaheim are
requested to affix their consents, but to which obligations of
said agreement said Cities are in no way bound; and
WHEREAS, the matter having been discussed and considered,
it appearing to be for the best interests of the City of Anaheim
and the citizens and residents thereof that said consent of the
City of Anaheim should be affixed to said agreement to be entered
into by and between Metropolitan Water District of Southern
California, Orange County Municipal Water District, and Coastal
Municipal Water District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement this day submitted by
the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California for the
construction, maintenance, and operation of said reservoir near
the East Orange County Feeder No. 2, and by which the aforementioned
Districts are to be bound, be and the same is hereby, approved
and that the City of Anaheim hereby gives its consent to said
agreement without being bound under the aforementioned agreement
in any manner whatever.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized to sign said consent to said
agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 3rd day of April, 1962.
