1962-0294WHEREAS, the Orange County Street Naming Committee
has requested that, in order to create less confusion to the
public and give continuous streets the same name in all cities,
the names of the streets in the Midway Drive Manchester Avenue
Placentia Avenue alignment along and southerly of the Santa Ana
Freeway should be changed; and
WHEREAS, after a thorough study of the matter, the
City Council does find that the assignment of the name of
Manchester Avenue to that portion of Midway Drive commencing
at Harbor Boulevard and lying southwest of the Santa Ana
Freeway, in the City of Anaheim, will result in less confu-
sion to the public and that, by reason of the foregoing facts,
public convenience and necessity require that said name be
changed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the name of that portion of Midway
Drive commencing at Harbor Boulevard and lying southwest of
the Santa Ana Freeway, in the City of Anaheim, be, and the
same is hereby changed to Manchester Avenue.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 20th day of March, 1962.
