1962-0189WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is a contracting agency
with the State, Employees' Retirement System (hereinafter
called System); and
WHEREAS,, in accordance with regulations of the
Board of Administration of the ,System, employees pf the City
of Anaheim have in the past begun membership in the System
on the first day of the month following the date of employ-
ment; and
WHEREAS, amendments to the Regulations of the
Board of Administration of the State Employeest Retirement
System adopted December 8,'1961 and effective January 15,
1962, allow changes in the membershIV date of employees
of a contracting agency when requested by the governing
body of said agency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim does hereby request that the member-
ship date of all employees of the said City of Anaheim here-
after entering membership with the System be Changed from the
first of the month next following date of employment to the
first day of the first payroll period following date of em-
ployment. This is to correspond with the bi- weekly payroll
schedule of the City of Anaheim showing the payroll periods
for five years and thirty days before the end of each fiscal
year a schedule for the sixth year thereafter.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
