1962-0188WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications, for said public improvement
above mentioned, are in accordance with good engineering practice and
are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of the City of Anaheim
and the citizens and residents in said area for the purposes for which
they are intended, and that they are adequate for the construction of sal
public improvement and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications for said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and
described be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared
by said Joe Jordan Associates, Architects.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed. Joe Jordan and Associ
ates, Architects, to prepare detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications, and estimates of quantities and costs and make
necessary surveys for the construction of said public improvement; and

detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for the
construction of said public improvement and have submitted the same to

FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND
NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF

BOULEVARD. IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. WORK ORDER NO. L501;
APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF; AUTHORIZING
THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE
WITH SAID PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the construc-
tion and completion of a public improvement in the City of Anaheim,
to wit:
A concrete frame and masonry, two -story and basement
Central Library Building, located at the Southwest
corner of Broadway and Harbor Boulevard, in the City
of Anaheim, including heating, ventilating and air
conditioning, integrated ceiling, elevators, elec-
trical work, plumbing and drainage, landscaping,
asphalt paving, and all appurtenances as more par-
ticularly set forth in the plans and specifications
prepared by Joe Jordan and Associates, Architects,
on file in the Office of the City Clerk or City En-
gineer, Work Order No. 4501.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said Joe
Jordan Associates Architects, and hereby approved, and such addenda
or modifications thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding
of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to publish
a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for the furnishing
of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, and all util-
ities and transportation, including power, fuel and water, and per-
forming all Work necessary to construct and complete, in a good and
workmanlike mariner, in strict accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings andspeclfications as prepared by said
Architects the public improvement herein.above
mentioned and described, and fixing the '5th day of :April. 9
196 2 at the hour of x_000 ooclock P.M. as the date and hour or
the opening of said bids atthe City Council Chamber in the City Hall
in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shall be published twice,
the first of which publications shall be at least ten (10) days prior
to the date fixed for the opening of bids, and that said publications
shall be at least five (5) days apart.
AND BE 'IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the City of
Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City Attorney of the
City of Anaheim for the constructionxximziaiiakxlia and, completion
of said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described, in
accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by said
Architects the notice inviting sealed proposals,
this resolution and all applicable City Ordinances or Code Sections
and the laws of the State of California, and shall be required to
post bonds and insurance in the amounts and within the time required
by law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and
in a form approved by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
