1962-0173RESOLUTION NO. 62R -173 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DENYING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 197. WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a request for a Conditional Use Permit from FRED C. LAW, 408 South Beach Boulevard, Anaheim, Calif- ornia, to install and maintain an outdoor advertising struc- ture on the following described property: PARCEL 1: That portion of the West half of the North- west quarter of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 13, Township 4 South, Range 11 West, in the Rancho Los Coyotes, City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map recorded in book 51, page 11 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County, lying Southerly of the land conveyed to the Orange County Flood Control District by deed recorded July 7, 1960, in 5317, page 208, Official Records of said Orange County. PARCEL 2: The South 180 feet of the West 120 feet of the East half of the Northwest quarter of the South- west quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section 13 referred to in Parcel 1 above. AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said request on January 22, 1962, notices of which said public hearing were duly given as required by law and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of thh Anaheim Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, in- vestigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, did adopt; its Resolution No. 212, Series 1961 -62, denying Conditional Use Permit No. 197; and WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty -two days from the date of the adoption of said resolution, a written appeal was filed with the City Council of the City of Anaheim pro- testing the action of the City Planning Commission denying said Conditional Use Permit, and said appeal was set for public hearing on February 20, 1962, at 7 :00 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and notice of such public hearing was duly given as required by law and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hearing and did give all persons interested therein an oppor- tunity to be heard and did receive evidence and reports; and WHEREAS, the City Council does find, after careful consideration of the recommendations of the City Planning Commission and all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, that Conditional Use Permit No. 197 should be denied; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commission denying Conditional Use Permit No. 197 be, and the same is hereby sustained, and that the request of FRED C. LAW, 408 South Beach Boulevard, Anaheim, California, for a Conditional Use Permit to install and maintain an out- door advertising structure on the property hereinabove des- cribed be, and the same is hereby, denied.
