A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE PURCHASE
OF SEVEN VERTICAL TURBINE -TYPE PUMPING UNITS
FOR DELIVERY AT THE LOCATION OF THE LINDA
VISTA RESERVOIR BOOSTER STATION APPROXIMATELY
625 FEET NORTH OF ANAHEIM ROAD AND APPROXI-
MATELY 200 FEET WEST OF THE EASEMENT KNOWN AS
LINDA VISTA, WORK ORDER NO. 4068; APPROVING
THE SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS THEREOF; AND
DIRECTING THE PUBLICATION OF A NOTICE INVITING
BIDS FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF SAID
PUMPING UNITS.
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that public convenience and necessity require the purchase and
acquisition of seven Vertical Turbine -Type Pumping Units for
use at the Linda Vista Reservoir Booster Station located
approximately 625 feet north of Anaheim Road and approximately
200 feet west of the easement known as Linda Vista, in the
County of Orange, State of California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that the
specifications and drawings prepared and submitted to the City
Council by the City Engineer for said pumping units are adequate
for the purpose and should be approved; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that a notice should be published inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of said pumping units in accordance with
the specifications and drawings prepared by the City Engineer
and hereby approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the pumping units more particularly
hereinafter described shall conform to the specifications and
drawings for said pumping wits prepared by the City Engineer
and submitted to the City Council, and hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there shall be purchased
for delivery at the Linda Vista Reservoir Booster Station,
located approximately 625 feet north of Anaheim Road and approxi-
mately 200 feet west of the easement known as Linda Vista (said
easement being approximately along a southerly extension of
Linda Vista Street from Orangethorpe Avenue), in the County of
Orange, State of California, the following equipment:
Seven (7) Vertical Turbine -Type Pumping
Units, including all mechanical, hydraulic,
electric -and miscellaneous equipment for
said pumping units, as more particularly
set forth in the drawings and specifications
on file in the Office of the City Engineer,
Work Order No. 4068.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorized and directed to publish a notice in
the Anaheim Bulletin, in the manner and form rewired by law,
inviting sealed proposals for the furnishing and delivery of
said pumping units above described, and directing that said
sealed proposals will be received at the Office of the City
Clerk of the City of Anaheim up to the hour of 2 :00 P.M. on
the 15th day of March, 1962.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 20th day of February, 1962.
