RESOLUTION NO. 62R- 573
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION,
IN CO- OPERATION WITH THE CITY OF ORANGE,
TO COMMENCE CERTAIN ANNEXATIONS WHICH
WILL RESULT IN CROSS- ANNEXATIONS THE BETTER
TO DELINEATE THEIR RESPECTIVE BOUNDARIES
TO FACILITATE PUBLIC UTILITY SERVICES BY
THE RESPECTIVE CITIES.
WHEREAS, the owners of all of the privately-owned
land within the contemplated cross annexations to which reference
is herein made have requested the City of Anaheim and the City
of Orange to take whatever steps are necessary to place a portion
of their property now in the City of Anaheim into the City of
Orange and a portion of their property now in the City of Orange
into the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the only public -owned land within the
contemplated cross annexations to which reference is herein
made is owned by the City of Anaheim, lies within the present
city limits of the City of Orange and is a portion of the
property within the area of contemplated annexation by the
City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the reason for such cross- annexations is
to accommodate the natural fall of the planned sewer facilities
so that the area within the City of Anaheim will be served by
its sanitary facilities and so that the area within the City
of Orange will be served by its sanitary facilities; and
WHEREAS, the respective cities have tentatively agreed,
through their administrative offices, to the cross- annexation
as delineated on Exhibit "A," attached to this resolution and
made a part hereof, indicating in yellow the Anaheim area
proposed to be annexed to Orange, and in blue the Orange area
proposed to be annexed to Anaheim;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it do and it hereby does declare its
intention, in co- operation with the City of Orange, to annex
substantially that portion of Exhibit "A" indicated in blue
into the City of Anaheim; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim
indicate and it hereby indicates its consent to the detachment
from the City of Anaheim substantially that portion of Exhibit "A"
indicated in yellow.

the City Council of the City of Anaheim, held on the 19th day of
June, 1962, by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Chandler,- Dutton, Krein and Coontt.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Schutte.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed_said resolution on the 19th day of
June, 1962.
