A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO.ARTERIAL
HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM PROJECT ADMINIS-
TRATION AG' D12 ENT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF
KNOTT AVENUE BETWEEN LINCOLN AVENUE AND
THE SOUTH CITY LIMITS.
WHEREAS, the County of Orange entered into an
Arterial Highway Financing Program Agreement with the City
of Anaheim on the 10th day of April, 1962, for the improve-
ment of Knott Avenue between Lincoln Avenue and the south
City Limits of Anaheim in accordance with the policies of
the Arterial Highway Financing Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the County of
Orange have agreed that it would be of community -wide
benefit to expedite the construction of the southerly 4 �5t
of the above said project; and
WHEREAS, construction of this southerly 1 4- 2 5 t
may be expedited by making it part of an adjacent project
for which the County has been designated as Contracting
Authority and Construction Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange has submitted to
the City of Anaheim an Amendment to Arterial Highway
Financing Program Project Administration Agreement, for
the improvement of Knott Avenue between Lincoln Avenue
and the South City Limits of Anaheim, to be made and
entered into by and between the City of Anaheim and the
County of Orange, which Amendment the City Council finds
would be for the best interest of the City and should be
approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Coun-
cil of the City of Anaheim that the Amendment to the
Arterial Highway Financing Program Project Administration
Agreement, for the improvement of Knott Avenue between
Lincoln Avenue and the South City Limits of Anaheim,
this day submitted to the City Council to be made and
entered into by and between the City and the County of
Orange, which Amendment provides for the following changes:
1. Paragraph 2 of said agreement shall be
amended to read: "The Contracting Authority for the
project is hereby designated as City of Anaheim, except
for the southerly 42,5t thereof, for which the Contracting
Authority will be County of Orange."
2. Paragraph L. shall be amended to read:
"The Construction Engineer for the project is hereby
designated as City of Anaheim, except for the southerly
425t thereof, for which the Construction Engineer will
be County of Orange."
be, and the same is hereby, approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said
agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 12th day of June, 1962.
