A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT
OF BOYLE ENGINEERING, CONSULTING ENGINEERS,
IN CONNECTION WITH FURNISHING. ENGINEERING
SERVICES TO DESIGN AND PREPARE PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A WATER
MAIN ALONG CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM; AND AUTHORIZING.AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CON-
TRACT COVERING SAID WORK.
WHEREAS, in connection with the construction of the
water transmission main extending from the intersection of
La Palma Avenue and Rio Vista Street to the intersection of
Ball Road and Placentia Avenue, it is necessary to employ
consulting engineers for the preparation of engineering
design and detailed plans and specifications for said water
transmission main; and
WHEREAS, Boyle Engineering is qualified to render
all said required engineering services and desires to be
employed for such purpose; and
WHEREAS, Boyle Engineering has submitted a proposal
for the engineering aforesaid dated June 1, 1962, the terms
and conditions of which proposal, including fees, are satis-
factory to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Boyle Engineering, Consulting
Engineers, be, and they are hereby, employed to do the engineering
work necessary for the preparation of plans, specifications and
supervision of construction of a water transmission line ex-
tending from the intersection of La Palma Avenue and Rio Vista
Street to the intersection of Ball Road and Placentia Avenue,
for a total fee of 5.50% of the total construction cost of the
project so designed, all as more particularly set forth in the
proposal letter of Boyle Engineering dated June 1, 1962.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim enter
into a contract for the engineering services of Boyle Engi-
neering in substantial conformance with said proposal letter
of June 1, 1962, and that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and
they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute such con-
tract on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
