A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE
AND ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES; AND RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 62R -535.
WHEREAS, the Estate of EVA DOYLE, Deceased, is the
owner of the hereinafter described real property situated in
the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has determined its
need for said real property and has received an offer from
the Estate of Eva Doyle, Deceased, to sell the same to the
City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that public convenience and necessity require the purchase and
acquisition of said real property for municipal purposes and
that, prior to the institution of proceedings in eminent domain
for the acquisition of said real property, the City is prepared
to offer to the Estate of Eva Doyle, Deceased, a reasonable
price for said property not out of line with the fair market
value thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim offer and it
does hereby offer to purchase from the Estate of Eva Doyle,
Deceased, all that real property situated in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described
as follows, to wit:
Lot 23 in Block B of the Center Tract, as
shown on a map recorded in Book 14, Page 13
of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, California,
for the sum of $17,000.00 cash, lawful money of the United
States, subject only to confirmation of sale.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed
to execute a bid for the purchase of real property for and
on behalf of the City of Anaheim, and he is authorized and
directed to forward the same to CARLO FERRERI as Administrator
of the Estate of Eva Doyle, Deceased.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor
be and he is hereby, authorized to deposit in Escrow No.
170 -1728 of the United California Bank, Anaheim Office, 203
East Center Street, Anaheim, California, the sum of $17,000.00
cash, lawful money of the United States, when the Administrator
of the Estate of Eva Doyle, Deceased, has deposited in said
escrow an Administrator's Deed conveying title to said property
to the City of Anaheim.
