1962-0508WHEREAS, on May 22, 1962, SOUTHERN PACIFIC PIPE
LINES, INC., a Delaware corporation authorized to transact
and transacting business in the State of California, made
application to the City Council of the City of Anaheim for
a franchise as more particularly described in Section 1
hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim as follows:
SECTION 1.
That the City Council hereby declares its intention
to grant a franchise for a period of forty (40) years from and
after the date of passage of the ordinance granting such fran-
chise to construct, maintain, operate, repair, renew, and re-
move pipe lines for the transportation of crude oil petroleum,
together with natural gasoline, gas, liquid hydrocarbon sub-
stances, and other liquid and gaseous substances contained in
said crude oil petroleum, in and under all public streets and
highways now or hereafter dedicated to public use in incorpor-
ated portions of the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California.
SECTION 2.
That the 26th day of June 1962,
at 3:00 o'clock P. N. of said day, in the Council Chamber
in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim, California, is the
time and place fixed for hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed granting of said franchise.
SECTION 3.
That the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim is hereby
directed to publish notice of said hearing at least once within
fifteen (15) days after the passage of this resolution in the
Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, published
and circulated in the City of Anaheim.
