1962-0483A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE PURCHASE
AND INSTALLATION OF LIBRARY SHELVING FOR
ANAHEIM PUBLIC LIBRARY, BRANCH NO. 1, LOCATED
AT 2650 WEST BROADWAY, WORK ORDER NO. 4500c;
APPROVING THE SPECIFICATIONS THEREOF; AND
DIRECTING THE PUBLICATION OF A NOTICE INVITING
BIDS FOR THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF
SAID SHELVING.
RESOLUTION NO. 62R-483
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that public convenience and necessity require the purchase and
acquisition of library shelving for Anaheim Public Library,
Branch No. 1, located at 2650 West Broadway, in the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that the
specifications prepared and submitted to the City Council by
the Library Director for said library shelving are adequate
for the purpose and should be approved; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that a notice should be published inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of said library shelving in accordance
with the specifications prepared by the Library Director
and hereby approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the specifications for said library
shelving hereinabove mentioned, be and the same are hereby,
approved and adopted as prepared by said Library Director.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there shall be purchased
for delivery and installation at the Anaheim Public Library,
Branch No. 1, located at 2650 West Broadway in the City of
Anaheim, the following approximate quantities and types of
library shelving:

NO. APPROXIMATE QUANTITY AND DESCRIPTION
1. Sixty -seven (67) sections of single -faced wall
shelving, totaling 1,407 lineal feet.
2. Forty -three (43) sections of double -faced free-
standing floor shelving, totaling 1,806 lineal
feet.
3. Four (4) double -faced sections of counter height
shelving, totaling 72 lineal feet.
4. Sixteen (16) sections of periodical shelving,
totaling 252 lineal feet.
5. Three (3) sections of wall shelving in Branch
Librarian's Office, totaling 36 lineal feet.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be,
and she is hereby, authorized and directed to publish a notice
in the Anaheim Bulletin, in the manner and form required by

law, inviting sealed proposals for the furnishing, delivery
and installation of said library shelving above described,
and directing that said sealed proposals will be received
at the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim up
to the hour of 2 :00 P.M. on the 14th day of June, 1962.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with
the City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the
City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the furnishing,
delivery and installation of said library shelving hereinabove
mentioned and described, in accordance with the specifications
prepared by said Library Director, the notice inviting sealed
proposals, this resolution and all applicable City Ordinances
or .Code Sections and the laws of the State of California, and
shall be required to post bonds and insurance in the amounts
and within the time required by law, as specified in the
notice inviting sealed proposals, and in a form approved by
the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is .proved and signed
