A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM EMPLOYING BOYLE.ENGINEERING,
CONSULTING ENGINEERS, TO DESIGN THE BOOSTER
STATION AND RESERVOIR ROOF AT THE LINDA
VISTA RESERVOIR.
WHEREAS, in connection with the booster station for
the Olive Hills Reservoir, located at Linda Vista Avenue and
Anaheim Road, it is necessary to employ consulting engineers for
the design of said booster station and, the reservoir roof of
the Linda Vista Reservoir located at said location; and
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Department and the
Engineering Department have invited informal bids for the
engineering servicesrequired; and
WHEREAS, Boyle Engineering, consulting engineers,
are familiar with the problems involved, having designed the
Olive Hills Reservoir and many of the pipelines serving said
reservoir as well as the pipeline connecting said Linda Vista
Booster Station to said Olive Hills Reservoir; and
WHEREAS, in connection with work heretofore, accomplished
for the City having a direct bearing on the work contemplated
herein, Boyle Engineering will credit the City of Anaheim on
the engineering fees for the design work covered by this reso-
lution; and
WHEREAS, the bid of said Boyle Engineering is the
lowest responsible bid for the engineering services required,
and it is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim to
employ said Boyle Engineering.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Boyle Engineering, consulting
engineers, be and they are hereby employed to do the engineering
work necessary for the construction of a booster pump station
and a roof for the existing reservoir of the City of Anaheim
located at the northwest corner of Anaheim Road and Linda
Vista Avenue extended, for the net fixed fee of $9,700.00,
all as more particularly set forth in the proposal letter of
Boyle Engineering dated May 14, 1962.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim enter
into a contract for the engineering services of Boyle Engineer-
ing in substantial conformance with said proposal letter of
May 14, 1962, and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they
are hereby authorized and directed to execute such contract
on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
