1962-04501 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO, 62R -450 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING CONSENT TO THE CITY OF STANTON TO THE EXTENSION OF THE DISTRICT BOUNDARY AND OF THE WORK OUTSIDE OF THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF STANTON AND INTO THE TERRITORY OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR THE CON- STRUCTION OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN "CITY OF STANTON ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO 2-62, 1P AND APPROVING THE PROPOSED RESOLUTION OF INTENTION FOR SAID WORK. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Stanton, California, has by Resolution No. 333 adopted on March 26, 1962, requested consent for the extension of the district and of the work outside the limits of the City of Stanton and into the territory of the City of Anaheim for the construction of certain street improvements in "City of Stanton Assessment District No. 2-62, and has further requested consent to the commencement of proceedings for the said proposed construction and to the exercise of jurisdiction by the City Council of the City of Stanton thereunto to the proceedings necessary or proper for the purpose of consummating the same, all in accordance with the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911, being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, the City of Stanton has submitted to this Council a copy of its proposed resolution of intention and has requested approval thereof; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 2 of Part 3 of Divi- sion 7 of the said Streets and Highways Code, it is necessary, in order to extend the District and /or the work outside the corporate limits of the City of Stanton and into the corporate limits of the City of Anaheim, that consent of the City Council of the City of Anaheim, expressed by resolution, shall first be given to the extension of said work and the assessment district into its terri- tory and assent to the assumption of jurisdiction therefor by the City of Stanton for all purposes of the proceedings for the improvement described in the reso- lution of intention; and WHEREAS, a certified copy of said resolution of the City of Stanton requesting such consent of this City to the inclusion within said assessment -1- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 district of territory within the City of Anaheim and to the extension of the work into the territory of the City of Anaheim, together with a copy of the proposed resolution of intention to make the proposed improvements, has been filed with the City Clerk of this City; and WHEREAS, this City Council has been advised and has determined that both that portion of the work and that portion of the assessment district which will extend into the City of Anaheim are located entirely within the right— of—way of Beach Boulevard and that no assessment can or will be levied upon any territory located within the City of Anaheim for said improvement; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does hereby RESOLVE and ORDER as follows: Section 1: That the consent of this City Council is hereby granted to the City of Stanton for the extension of the assessment district and the work out— side the corporate limits of the City of Stanton and into the corporate limits of the City of Anaheim, as more particularly set forth in the proposed resolution of intention above mentioned and in the proposed assessment district as therein described and referred to. Section 2: That consent is hereby further given to the assumption of jurisdiction by the City of Stanton thereunto for all purposes of the proceedings and this consent authorizes the City Council of the City of Stanton to take each and every step required for or suitable for the extension of the district and the work outside the limits of the City of Stanton and into the territory of this City and to the levying, collecting and enforcement of the assessments to cover the expense thereof, and issuance and enforcement of bonds,, if any to represent said unpaid assessments.
