1962-0382RESOLUTION NO. 62R -382 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH ANAHEIM UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY FOR THE PAVING OF LA PATNA. AVENUE. WHEREAS, Anaheim Union High School District has con- structed a school bordering on La Palma Avenue in the City of Anaheim; and Accounting Offi■ Engr WHEREAS, said school is to be financed with State aid funds, and said School District is not able to pay for any paving to exceed the width of 18 feet, including a deduction for existing paving; and WHEREAS, said District's share of paving on La Palma Avenue bordering said school is 14,047 square feet of asphaltic concrete, and all grading; and WHEREAS, Anaheim's share of paving on La Palma Avenue bordering the school is 11,565 square feet of asphaltic con- crete; and WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City and said School District that the City of Anaheim let the contract for all the paving and that said School Dis- trict reimburse the City for its share; and that an agreement be made and entered into by and between the City and Anaheim Union High School District for such paving. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that an agreement be made and entered into by and between the City of Anaheim and Anaheim Union High School District of Orange County for the paving of La Palma Avenue bordering the school, the terms and conditions of which agreement shall be as follows: 1. The City of Anaheim shall submit plans and speci- fications to said School District for its approval prior to awarding the contract. 2. The City shall let a contract covering street improvements on La Palma Avenue for 434 tons of 3 -inch thick asphalticconcrete over 562 tons of 4 -inch aggregate base. 3. The City shall advertise and let the bid on a unit price basis. 4. The School District shall reimburse the City on a unit price basis for 434 tons of asphaltic concrete and 562 tons of aggregate base. 5. The City of Anaheim shall submit bids to said District for approval prior to awarding the contract. -1- BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
