A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF AN AMENDATORY AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT DATED
JULY 11, 1961 FOR JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION, 01. AND MAINTENANCE OF
EAST ORANGE COUNTY FEEDER NO. 2 BETWEEN THE
METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA,
ORANGE COUNTY MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, COASTAL
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, CITY OF ANAHEIM, AND
CITY OF SANTA ANA.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the llth day of July,
1961, an agreement was duly made and entered into by and between
THE METROPOLITAE WATER DISTRICT OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, a metro-
politan water district organized under the Metropolitan Water
District Act of the State of California; ORANGE COUNTY MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT, a municipal water district organized under the
Municipal Water District Act of 1911 in the State of California;
COASTAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, a municipal water district
organized under the Municipal Water District Act of 1911; the
CITY OF ANAHEIM and the CITY OF SANTA ANA organized under the
laws of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, it is the mutual desire of said cities and
water districts and The Metropolitan Water District that an
amendatory amendment to said agreement be made and entered into
providing for an increase in the flow capacity in the fourth
reach and providing for a reduction in the estimated administra-
tive cost to be incurred by Metropolitan; and
WhEREAS, a form of agreement has this day been tendered
to the City Council to be made and entered into by and between
the Cities of Anaheim and Santa Ana, and said Water Districts,
and The Metropolitan Water District, which agreement the City
Council finds would be for the benefit and best interest of
the City and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the amendatory amendment to the agree-
ment dated July 11, 1961 for joint exercise of powers for con-
struction, operation and maintenance of the East Orange County
Feeder No. 2 this date tendered to the City Council be made
and entered into by and between The Metropolitan Water District
of Southern California, Orange County Municipal Water District,
Coastal. Municipal Water District, the City of Santa Ana, and the
City of Anaheim, for the purpose of amending the agreement of
July 11, 1961 to provide for an increase in flow capacity in the
fourth reach and providing for a reduction in the estimated
administrative cost to be incurred by Metropolitan, as more
particularly set forth in said amendatory amendment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said agreement for
and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
