1962-0612WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did on May 18,
1962, find that in order that the name of a certain street in
the City of Anaheim may be more compatible and more identifiable
with the City of Anaheim, the name of Cies Street, located just
north of the Riverside Freeway and running between Placentia
Avenue and State College Boulevard, should be changed to Via
Burton Street, and did adopt Resolution No. 345 Series 1961 -62
recommending to the City Council that said name be changed;
and
WHEREAS, after a thorough study of the matter, the
City Council does find that in accordance with the findings of
the City Planning Commission and in order to avoid confusion
created by extensions of streets having different names, public
convenience and necessity require that the name of Cies Street,
located just north of the Riverside Freeway and running
between Placentia Avenue and State College Boulevard, be
changed to Via Burton Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the name of Cies Street, located
in the City of Anaheim just north of the Riverside Freeway and
running between Placentia Avenue and State College Boulevard,
be and the same is hereby changed to Via Burton Street.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 3rd day of July, 1962.
