1962-1030A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CHANGE
THE NAME OF KNOTT AVENUE IN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM TO KNOTT STREET.
WHEREAS, the Orange County Street Naming Committee
has requested that, in order to create less confusion to the
public and give continuous streets the same name in all cities,
the names of the streets in the Knott Avenue and Golden West
Street alignment be changed to Knott Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Orange
County Street Naming Committee has recommended to the various
affected Cities, as well as the Orange County Board of Super-
visors, that the names of the streets in the Knott Avenue
Golden West Street alignment be changed to Knott Street and
has suggested that the necessary steps be taken to effectuate
this change; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does concur with the
recommendation of the Orange County Street Naming Committee
and does find that the name of Knott Avenue in the City of
Anaheim should be changed to Knott Street when and if the
other Cities affected by said change of street names concur
in said action.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that it does hereby concur with the
recommendation of the Orange County Street Naming Committee
that the names of the streets in the Knott Avenue Golden West
Street alignment be changed to Knott Street, and does hereby
declare its intention to change the name of Knott Avenue in
the City of Anaheim to Knott Street when and if the other
Cities affected by said change of street names concur and
take the necessary steps to effectuate said change.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 27th day of November, 1962.
