A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, DESIGNATING
THE TERRITORY AS THE
EAST STREET
ANNEXATION; DE :,CRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING
NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOUR AND PLACE WHERE AND
WHEN ANY PERSON OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN
SUCH TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY
APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE
WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM?.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim die,
on the 9th day of November 19 5I receive a
written petition asking that certain new territory described
said petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS; before the filing of said petition, the pro
posal for the annexation of the territory hereinafter described
to the City of Anaheim was submitted to the Boundary Commissio*
of the County of Orange, State of California, and reported upon
by said Boundary Commission with respect to the definiteness and
certainty of the proposed boundaries; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of
California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is un-
inhabited territory, and said petition contained a descriptiom,
of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
Resolution described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and re-
ports received that at the time of the filing and receipt of sail
petition, it was and now is signed by owners of not less than one-
fourth of the area and not less than one fourth of the
assessed valuation of the land in such territory proposed to be
annexed, according to the last preceding equalized county assess-
ment real; and
UHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and re-
ports received and from said petition that at the time of the
fling and presentation of said petition that said new territory
proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did not form a
part of any municipal corporation and that said territory was un-
inhabited and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and
evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the territory
so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows,
to wit:
A tract of land being a portion of Lot 19 of Anaheim
Extension as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 3 at
pages 163 -165, Records of Los Angeles County, California,
Beginning at an angle point in the existing Anaheim
City Limits Line, said point being located at the inter-
section of the southerly right -of -way line of Ball Road
(60 feet wide) and the southerly prolongation of the
easterly right -of -way line of South East Street (66 feet
wide) thence,
1. Northerly along said existing Anaheim City Limits
line and said easterly right -of -way line of South East Street
and its southerly prolongation to the northerly line of said
Lot 19; thence,
2. Easterly along the northerly line of said Lot 19
and said existing Anaheim City Limits Line to the most
northeasterly corner of said Lot 19; thence,
3. Southerly along the easterly line of said Lot 19,
and its southerly prolongation to the southerly right -of -way
line of said Ball Road, thence,

said Ball Road to the point of beginning.

That such proposed annexation be designated as
"AST STREET ANNEXATION," and that notice of such pro-
posed annexation be and the same is hereby given; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVE: that the 8 14th day of
December 19 4 at the hour of o'clock P.
at the City Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Any.

when and where any person owning real property within said terri-
tory so rroposed to be annexed, and having any objections to the
proposed annexation, may appear before the City Council of the
City of Anaheim any.;. show cause why such territory should not be
so annexed; that all persons having any objections to such pro-
posed annexation are hereby notified. to appear on said. day at said
hour and place to show cause, if any they have, why such territory
should not be so annexed; and

hereby, authorized and directed to cause a copy of this Resolution
to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week,

in a newspaper of general circulation, published in the City, to
wit: The Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange County, California,
and also in a newspaper of general circulation, published outside
of the City, but in the County of Orange, in which is located the
territory hereinabove proposed to be annexed to the City of Ana-
heim, to Writ: The Cypress Enterprise That such
publication shall be coml,leted at least twenty (20) days prior to
the date of hearing hereinabove specified.
AND 3E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to
cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to
each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be
annexed is assessed, in the last equalized county, assessment roll
available, on the date the proceedings were initiated, at the
address shown on said assessment roll or as known to said City
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of lands in which he has any interest, either
legal or equitable, with said Clerk: That in the event that land
within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim
is owned by a County, the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim shall
also cause written notice of suoh proposed annexation to be mailed
to the Board of Supervisors of such County. The foregoing notices
shall be given not less than twenty (20) days before the first
public hearing on the proposed annexation.
