A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
MENT OF A PORTION OF AN ALLEY AND AN EASEMENT
FOR ALLEY PURPOSES UPON, OVER, ACROSS AND
ALONG THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim, a
municipal corporation of the State of California, did on the
21st day of October, 1954, pass its Ordinance No. 940, en-
titled 'AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING THE
INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION
OF AN ALLEY AND AN EASEMENT FOR ALLEY PURPOSES UPON, OVER,
ACROSS AND ALONG THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY;
FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR A HEARING THEREON; AND DIRECTING
THE POSTING OF NOTICES THEREOF AND THE PUBLICATION OF THIS
ORDINANCE," whereby it declared its intention to vacate and
abandon and close to public use a portion of an alley and
an easement for alley purposes upon, over, across and along
the hereinafter described property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council in said Ordinance referred
to a map on file in the Office of the City Clerk for further
particulars as to the proposed vacation, abandonment and clos-
ing to public use of said portion of alley and easement for
alley purposes; and
WHEREAS, said City Council did by said Ordinance fix
the 9th day of November, 1954 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as
the time and place of a public hearing on the matter of such
vacation, abandonment and closing to public use of said por-
tion of alley and easement for alley purposes, for all persons
interested in or objecting to such proposed vacation, abandon-
ment and closing to public use to appear and show cause, if
any they had, why such portion of alley and easement for alley
purposes should not be vacated, abandoned and closed to public
use; and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance was published on the 22nd
day of October, 1954 in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the
City of Anaheim, Orange County, California; and
WHEREAS, by said Ordinance said City Council directed
that notices of the passage of said Ordinance and of the time
and place of the hearing on the matter of the vacation, abandon-
ment and closing to public use of said portion of alley and
easement for alley purposes be posted conspicuously along the
lines of said portion of alley, not more than 300 feet apart,
at least ten (10) days before said hearing, and not less than
three (3) such notices should be posted; and
WHEREAS, Duane R. Stout did on the 29th day of
October, 1954, post conspicuously four (4) such notices along
the lines of said portion of alley, which notices were posted
less than 300 feet apart, and were posted at least ten (10)
days before said hearing; and
WHEREAS, said City Council did on the 9th day of
November, 1954, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M. at said City Hall, con-
duct a public hearing on the matter of whether said portion

of alley and easement for alley purposes, hereinafter de-
scribed, should be vacated, abandoned and closed to public
use, and at said hearing did hear evidence thereon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from all the
evidence submitted that that portion of alley and easement
for alley purposes described in the Ordinance of Intention
and hereinafter described, are unnecessary for present or
prospective alley purposes, and that an order vacating such
portion of alley and easement for alley purposes as de-
scribed in the Ordinance of Intention should be made by the
City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheimm:
1. That it finds the recitals hereinbefore set
forth in this Resolution to be true;
2. That it finds from all the evidence submitted
that said portion of alley and easement for alley purposes
described in said Ordinance are unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes;
3. That it does hereby order that said portion of
alley and easement for alley purposes be, and they are hereby,
vacated, abandoned and closed to public use;
4. That the said portion of alley and easement for
alley purposes herein ordered vacated, abandoned and closed
to public use are those described in said Ordinance No. 940,
are situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California, and are more particularly described as follows:
That portion of the alley, and easement for
alley purposes upon, over, across and along
said portion of alley, lying between Lots 6
to 15 and 16 to 22, as shown on a map of
Tract 1843, recorded in Book 53, Page 46 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
California, and more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 15 of
Tract 1843; thence south 0° 2 5' 53" west a
distance of 212.79 feet to the southeast corner
of Lot 13; thence continuing south 0° 25' 53"
west a distance of 53.12 feet to an angle point;
thence south 37° 53' 25" east 25.31 feet to an
angle point, said point also being the north-
west corner of Lot 12; thence south 76 12' 44"
east along the northerly line of Lots 12, 11
and 10 to a point, said point being 10 feet
westerly from the southerly prolongation of the
easterly line of Lot 19; thence north 2° 32' 34"
east a distance of 20.39 feet to the southerly
line of said Lot 19; thence north 76 12' 44"
west along the southerly line of said Lot 19 a
distance of 148.66 feet to an angle point;
thence north 37 53' 25" west a distance of
2.23 feet to an angle point; thence north
0° 25' 53" east along the westerly line of Lots
19, 18, 17 and 16 a distance of 262.51 feet to
the northwest corner of Lot 16, said northwest
corner of Lot 16 also being on the southerly
line of East Center Street; thence south 80°
20' 43„ west along said southerly line of East
Center Street a distance of 20.31 feet to the
point of beginning.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be,
and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified
copy of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the
seal of the City of Anaheim, to be recorded in the Office of
the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 9th day of November, 1954.
